The framed motto says "Do one thing every day that makes you happy." Fall colors make me happy. There are far too few of them here in central Texas.
Thanksgiving makes me happy. Being with extended family at my sisters is always a good time. Watching the kids play in the leaves - solving a jigsaw puzzle with my nieces - eating a meal in the decorated garage. That says love and peace to me.
But to the dog, love and peace are an empty sofa and the knowledge that "mom" will be home again soon.
