Picnic Basket? Junk Drawer?

Bought a picnic basket at an auction the other day. It was an estate auction and I got it for only $10. I'm using it to store tools like a hammer, screwdrivers, and containers of nails and screws. Also, duct tape, wall anchors, etc.
So much prettier than a junk drawer. And drawers in my tiny kitchen are at a premium.
Beaujolais was very curious. Wish I had opened it. She might have jumped inside to explore, and that would have been a cute picture.

Friendship

Beauty is not only visible. A good friendship is a beautiful thing to have.
I am grateful for my many friends.

Autumn Log Cabin - in progress

One of my WIPs is an autumn colored log cabin. The strips are small and irregular in width. I'm trying to keep them rectangular, but sometimes they have a mind of their own.

The blocks haven't been attached to each other yet; I think I've got too much "light" in that one area.

Beaujolais pillow

My first try at a pet portrait turned out pretty good. I plan to do another version for the quilt show. It was fun. I think the main factor in its success was a really good photograph.
