Texas Bluebonnet

This 9x12 inch quilt was donated to AAQI to raise money for Alzheimer's research. It's part of my Texas series and is inspired by a Bluebonnet block in Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia.

To purchase this quilt, see http://www.alzquilts.org/9121.html

Another quilt, "Texas", was donated in February but I can't find a picture at the mo

Tote Bags - Craft Hope Project 16

My friend Susan challenged her friends to make two tote bags for the Littlest Warrior project before March 12.
This morning I made my two. One is made from light upholstery fabric and the other is a children's print. They were from the Free Table at quilt guild, or maybe they were in the donated fabrics for Baby Bundles.
Whatever, they made up into nice bags.

The bags are based on a pattern by Lazy Girl; the instructions are online.
Instead of measuring, I used the largest rectangle of this fabric that was available. The bag is made from one piece of fabric which is turned inside to make a lining. Add handles, and you're done! Easy peasy.

French Roses Quilt

The center is quilted.
Working on the borders.
Deadline is the EOM, when I'll be traveling to my nieces house to celebrate first birthdays for two of my great-grand-nephews.
It sure is pretty. Wonder if I should make one for myself?

Resolution Followup

I bought these nice spider mums from Flower Child, a locally owned business. It's a small florist shop; the two young men there are probably the owners. They have a number of sweet Valentine items for sale as well as nice arrangements.

I've joined the local gym (thank you, state health insurance and Medicare!) and have "worked out" five times. Haven't broke a sweat yet, but perhaps that day will come.
