Finished this wall hanging last night. It will go into the quilt show in Georgetown this next weekend.
It was based on a photograph by Steve Schwartzman

and used techniques learned in a workshop by Katie Pasquini Masopust.
Basically, it's just a fancy log cabin.
Nice going! My thought was: Geometry meets lepidoptery. I appreciate the metamorphosis.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! (Visiting via Steve).
ReplyDeleteWhat a masterpiece! Well done!
ReplyDeleteLovely, I especially like the dimensional perspective. Reminds me of so much "3D graffiti, giving a modern edge to an often predictable folk art. Read about you in Portraits of Wildflowers blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning!
