Pillowcase Dresses

At a recent meeting, one of the ladies in my quilt guild showed some pillowcase dresses that she had made with extra fabric.  She said that they would be sent to African orphans through the Little Dresses for Africa project.

So I made a half dozen, but sent one to my sweet great-granddaughter first. 

Two of the dresses were actual handmade pillowcases that I wasn't using.  Two others were made from fabric that one of my former girl scouts gave me during the cleaning out of her mother's storage shed.  Two others were made with "free table" fabric from the guild.  I think it is a good use for leftover fabric.
